Membership in PAMHCA is open to mental health counselor educators,
and students who are interested in enhancing the mental health profession
through professional development and networking with collegues.
We work closely with our national partners and other state chapters
to promote the practice of counseling.
Types of Membership
Professional Membership:
Membership is open to anyone who is a member of one or more of the
following: the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA), the American
Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), the American Counseling
Association (ACA), the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)
as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). (Able to vote and hold office)
$50.00 annually
Student Membership:
Any college level student whose main interest is Mental Health shall
be eligible to apply for a student membership with PAMHCA with all
the privileges of individual membership, not to exceed three (3) years. (Able
to vote and hold office)
$25.00 annually
Special Membership:
The President and Executive Council of PAMHCA may choose individuals
who do not meet the requirements of either regular member or student
member, but have some expertise which may contribute to the improvement
of PAMHCA. The Executive Council must approve any special membership
application.(Able to vote and hold office)
$50.00 annually
Retired Membership:
Those individuals who have retired from the field of mental health
counseling, but who would still wish to be active in their professional
organization.(Able to vote and hold office)
$25.00 annually

As of May 2006, PAMHCA is a newly developed organization. We
