PAMHCA Committees

Membership and Ethics Committee

This Committee shall seek ways to increase the membership of PAMHCA through the addition of new members and provide guidance for retention of members, and shall see that members abide by the Code of Ethics of the ACA and of the AMHCA.

PAMHCA invites you to become an active participant in your organization that supports your career development by providing opportunities for networking, for skill building, and for growth through the only organization working exclusively for mental health counselors.

Goals:

  • To establish an active Membership Committee that will work toward established goals that are approved and in accordance with the PAMHCA By Laws

  • To establish graduate contacts for PAMHCA in all local Universities

  • To provide opportunities for members to network with other professionals who could mentor others in various stages of their professional career

  • To establish and maintain personal and friendly contact with local university counseling programs and area businesses to provide internship opportunities

  • To establish a roster of speakers that would provide an interesting and informative seminar four times a year, then, possibly monthly seminars (all of which would be accredited by NBCC for counseling continuing education units)

  • To provide colleges and universities with our plans and exchange information and perhaps get speakers from these colleges and make connections with those who do speak

  • To maintain an active connection with AMHCA through pertinent programming
